Hi Sonia - yup, I’m really loving that ballpoint pen right now. But, this is another one that is going to take a LOT of time.

Hi @cmhales7 Cathy -

Don’t know if you’ve seen it yet but Matt just posted the Members Minute with your Leopard. I’m so glad you sent it in. It’s always an honor to have him critique a piece of our own artwork.

And guess what ? He did suggest some cropping (as we discussed on a previous post here). It was so helpful to see how he demonstrated to do this, and why.

Keep drawing and posting my friend. I truly enjoy your artwork.

OMG, Cathy, what a totally sweet little guy!!! Did you know, these wrens are very common in Germany too?

When I first saw your fairy wren, a real wren jumped itno my head. You did so great! Your colors are so suitable for the scene and the very cute fluffy feathers.

Love this piece and I think it would be great for the member’s minute.

Dear Sonia, and I am loving eating your pears, sorry, watching them. I adore your skills very much!!!

May I eat them however?

Dear Terri, what a great experience being able to watch an eagle! And now you are sharing this with all of us. Your ball pen art is phantastic! I could find the talon and am so much looking forward to see this piece developped.

I am still working on the sports car from the realistic pencil drawing course. Only half way through, as I couldn’t do art work for weeks. This year, I am very poor. I actually wanted to put the car beside and working on another piece. Then I watched one of Matt’s lessons. He started with: remember, we are drawing on square at a time.

I was loughing and am taking one square at a time to get 77 squares finished in the end.

Dear, go ahead with all your art work!

This is going to look magnificent when it’s finished, can’t wait to see it Terri @robichon.
And thanks for the heads up about Matt’s critique of my leopard, I had just checked the day before. I knew you were right about the cropping, I’m going to have to pay much closer attention to that in the future, it totally makes sense, it looked so much better when he’d finished critiquing it

Thanks so much Buddy, I was interested to hear that you get these fairy wrens in Germany too. They are such sweet little things, when we go camping they often hop right up close to our feet if we sit still

Hi friends -

It seems I have a hard time of just working on one project at a time. I’m caught up on the current Live Lesson of the boat at the dock and looking forward to the next step tonight. I’m also making progress on the ballpoint pen drawing of that huge limb that will have an eagle on the end of it.

So, what am I doing today ??? I’m starting work on my homemade Christmas cards which will involve some watercolor painting. I’m making 70 cards this year, so my plan is to have the design figured out and all the necessary supplies in hand before Halloween. That gives me until Thanksgiving Day to get them made and envelopes addressed. I’m right on schedule, and here is a shot of my beginning step.

Hi Cathy, lol - mistake on my side,

I took fairy wren literally and thought, you meant a wren with colors of your imagination. I just looked up on pixabay for a double check and learned, there is indeed this colorful fairy wren, but not in Germany.

We do have the ones in the image, I upload. You will understand, why I took your fluffy guy as a wren in the first place.

Your one is gorgeous. I do like them singing on a fence in my garden. That’s how they are named fir literally: fence king - Zaunkönig. Wren in English.

Dear Terry,

Wow!!! 70 cards??? This would take me years to complete. Great start and I totally understand why most are working on several projects same time.

I wish I could do that, as I find myself stucked in the realistic pencial drawing course. I need to work one square at a time and have 35+ out of 77 more to go. I pretty feel slow in learning, but want to take it serious. As Matt told, when you manage thekast module, you are prepared for anything.

With that in mind, I keep on finishing one square at a time. Lol

Sorry, for rambling around.

Terry, I really adore your art work. My plate looks like yours when using watercolor. I just limit my palette, but mix 100+ colors out of it.

Go ahead with all you like to do, you are doing so great.
Hope to see you tonight,
Buddy

Hi Buddy, thanks for posting your little brown wren, he is beautiful too! It would seem that wrens all over the world have that same cheeky stance

I did a quick sketch this morning. Really pleased with this scribbly sketch. Quickly went in with pencil first to get the rough shapes and then pen over top :+1:

Hello Terri, I’ve watched the latest episode of the Member’s Minute.
Finally! I added a small comment there.
Again, congratulations!

Recently I started using a new sns site in Japan called “note”.
I needed to prepare a header image for my own page so I tried compiling my pen works within the set header size.
The outcome is this:

It looks so nice, doesn’t it ?

Also, I am so happy to let you know that I’ve finalized the composition idea of “Terri’s Groove” and prepared a draft drawing today.
I’ll start the shading tomorrow.
I think I will be able to share the actual work with you soon. :cat: :upside_down_face:

Hi Maki. That header of your drawings is so much more than nice. It’s impressive!!!

So looking forward to seeing what “Terri’s Groove” looks like. I’ve really missed seeing your artistic creations.

Last, but not least, I appreciate your comment in the members minute. I’ve got my sister here right now, so gotta run, but did want to touch base with you.

@robichon, @Maki, @cmhales7, @Buddy, and the whole community here,

Y’all, I can’t keep up lately with all your drawings, critiques, card making, zebra pen buying, headers, wrens, getting sketchy’s, live lessons, replying, admiring in writing, and all the things going on . All your wonderful art is so unique and so beautiful!
All I’ve been able to work on is my pears slowly but surely.:hot_face:

Here’s my pears progress, I measured it and I think it was 16 x20 ( pretty sure that’s the size of the bristol board.
Not as productive as the rest of my fellow TVI-ers but not quitting.

Hi Sonia.

Keep doing your own thing, because it’s wonderful. Never any pressure to post.

By the way, 16x20 for the pear drawing is big. Makes them all the more impressive.
