:scream:thank you

Nothing new really. Same church drawing I did the other day, but tried shading the original with stippling. Think I like the stippling effect - especially in the clouds  sometimes it’s good to try out different methods on the same sketch.

Both of your drawings look great and I like the stippling on the clouds.

Peter thank you so much. That means a lot. I saw the stippling effect online and loved it and thought I would try it on the clouds… I think it works well. Did a couple more today to practice line work and especially stippling

That’s wonderful. How long did it take you?

Wow @Dannomiss89,

One day? Crazy good! You must do a larger scale one however long it takes.

My “Mr. Pretty Lips” getting sketchy from November 20th o could’ve sworn I saw a post about this one but can’t find it now. I didn’t have a chance to comment on theirs, but I remember the zipper and details were really good.

Hello @PatriciaDearnaley Patricia. How are you? Are you talking about the church drawing? If you are I can’t actually remember how long it took to be honest… but with pencil sketch, pen line drawing and shading I would say a good few hours

Thank you. @Meme5 Yes I really should plan to do a larger piece now

Hi Patricia @PatriciaDearnaley

So nice to see you posting here. Just a suggestion for future posts to make it easier to understand, it helps if you put in the name of the person who did the artwork, and often even noting the content/subject matter of the art is helpful.

As you can see this is a pretty active spot and it can be confusing who you are directing your comment to. Especially when a few people may have recently posted items around the same time.

Thanks and I hope you post some of your own art as well. The more people that are involved here, the more fun it is.

Actually this request goes to everyone who posts here.

@robichon - sorry! I’m not just new to this forum, but to any art fora, so bear with me. It was the potters wheel piece that I was admiring- I aspire to produce that level of realism one day.

Hi Patricia @PatriciaDearnaley

No need to apologize. We are a positive environment here to support those of all skill levels. I just thought your comments would be more meaningful that way.

So glad you liked the potters wheel. That was one of mine. And yes, you to can learn to draw at this level. The instruction here (if you’re a member) is incredible and if you add practice you can accomplish a lot.

One other thing I’ll let you know. There are 2 Terri / Teri that are active here. Playfully I’m often referred to as Terri with 2 R’s and Teri Pope is Teri with 1 R. So to play along one of my good friends here is Sonia with no R’s or even Bill with 2L’s

I will stop posting for a bit after this post. Just a little more practice on cross hatching and stiplling this afternoon. :smiley:Apologies I post a lot. I draw a lot as have the time and love sharing, but I don’t want it to look like I’m taking over.

Deep breath… my best friend and her mother, for my friend’s birthday in February. I lost confidence after I’d finished it and haven’t done anything since. I didn’t think I’d feel able to show this to anyone, but here goes…
