Our superstar teacher

BREAKING NEWS-Matt the super-juggler, well-known for his unique juggling style using art supplies, got bitten by an ANGRY MOMMA CAT as he mistakenly grabbed her POOR LITTLE KITTEN to throw in the air.

Well, it’s been already 4 years since I joined the VI & I’ve counted how many times my drawings have been critiqued and found that it’s 14, I wanted to draw something special for the 15th. I remember how amazed I was when I learned that he could draw/paint anything using all those different materials. Since then this juggling vision has been on my mind and I wanted to give a concrete shape to it.
Sorry about the cat and kitten. I know that he is not a cat person, but I just couldn’t help it.
This is the framed version.

This is so incredibly good and creative. Let’s face it, Matt would expect nothing less than having such a great tribute to his talent include a cat or two when it comes from you. I just don’t know where you come up with your ideas. Sure wish you’d send some my way.

Thank you Terri, “a cat or two”, this phrase keeps echoing in my mind :upside_down_face: :cat:
As to creative ideas, I think that is something you too are equipped with. I felt that when I watched the Member’s Minute episode #396.

Maik,

You have outdone yourself here! I think you captured Matt perfectly and it wouldn’t be right without a kitty, what is not to enjoy, but a kitten in your drawings.

Thanks for doing this for Matt, your kindness is wonderful!

Thank you so much for your kind words, Lori. I had two setting ideas, #1 juggling, #2 parkour. Juggling seemed easier so I chose this first, but I would love to give my parkour idea a try too. :cat2:

Nah, I’ve never seriously practiced drawing in my life. I was sort of a natural when it comes to drawing and without practicing, I was able to draw something like this probably when I was a junior high student:

Thank you so much for your kind words Teri. In one of critique episodes, I think I remember that he said he was allergic to cats, so I felt a bit sorry about drawing him and cats together in the scene. But, you know, I just couldn’t help it.

This is outstanding, and after watching your various posts and Matt’s lessons, I think it is absolutely perfect.
