This is pastel pencils on Canson Mi-Teintes greenish grey toned paper, smooth side, 12x16. I did the picture, then I sprayed it with workable fixative and did another layer. I was going for a sepia/monochromatic look. I don’t know if it achieved that, but I like it. I was also trying to be loose. I think it is looser than I usually do.
Wow - that is fantastic! So much happiness is shown in his expression. Looks like a guy who would be fun to talk to or hang with! Great job!

I keep thinking about do a sepia/monochromatic piece and just never do it. This is really nice. Love the texture in the shirt and the hair is worked out really good. tom
