I just got a set of Prismacolor premier color pencils and I thought I would draw these chili peppers again and compare to my drawing a couple of months ago. In the first drawing I used my Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor pencil which are more oil based. I like them but the selection of reds is not as great as the Prismacolor.

Nice to see you here in the forum. Wow, not only are the Prismacolor hues richer (great reds), but they look like they layered better too. But that is one of the benefits of wax based colored pencils.
That’s a great idea to do the same project with different media to see how they compare. Using the same pencils but different papers would also be interesting.
