Getting Sketchy- Urban Style 10/29

I was excited to do this! I had a major fail at the very end- wasn’t at all paying attention to the final dark line so I am going to try and lift it out. Good fun!

It was a fun Getting Sketchy. Here’s what I managed to end up with - I don’t normally draw people - the nose is weird and so are the skin tones, but it was fun. Also the backpack matches the shirt too much.

Here’s mine. Full disclosure - I did finish on Wednesday, but a few hours after the lesson. Also, I traced my initial pencil drawing. Had fun with this one. Totally not my normal style.

Was able to lift out a lot of my mistake. I love seeing other pieces of woken! They’re wonderful! This is one I would like to do again.

Hi Lisa @HarleysMom

The adjustment made a huge difference. After doing this one myself, I’m going to try the technique on a couple more of my own photos. It is a nice way to learn to loosen up a little. If you do any more, please post for us to see.

HI, I’m signed in but cannot figure out how to post a drawing.

I’ve gotten as far as the pen outline. will do the watercolor later after I watch that part of the instruction again. I’m very new to watercolor.

Hi, I am new here. I was delighted to see your art on my email as a notice of a recent lesson. It looks great! The capture of simple pleasures - taking in the day with a loved one is a priceless memory. Good Art speaks volumes.

Hi Susan. Wanting to do more of this line and wash style, is exactly what I felt too when finishing my art. I hope we both follow through.
