None of you probably remember this lesson using oil-based ball point pen 
. I’ve been working on it for some time now as you can imagine. I finished the trees except for some contrast work on the willows and worked the dome with pen and struggled with details with the pen so drew the architecture with a 4H general pencil. I will next work over the graphite with the ink and see how it turns out. I just wanted to show that I’m still alive and well and working…

Crazy boy to think we wouldn’t remember this lesson. I poured over it for 80 hours in three weeks doing nothing else last January. One of my favorite lessons and I’m so glad you’re still working on it. And it’s looking mighty good too. Keep posting your progress please.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share a small (4x6) piece I did in ink with an ideograph 0.3" I wanted to use my 0.2 but it was clogged, tried to clean it and come to learn that you shouldn’t dismantle the 0.20 cause it’s really hard to put back together. Oh well. It’s on watercolor CP paper.
I had a lot of issues trying to render the shadows on the petals. The datura flower has one trumpet-like monopetal (these are all super technical terms, very precise) and with the light coming almost from above and the folds and ridges, it was hard to render in a manner that is understandable. I don’t think I’ve succeeded fully but I’m still happy with my work! This is my first piece with no tutorial in stippling. I added the exercise from the pen and ink course here as well to show what I consider to be progress. Bravo moi! 
Added: it shows up too big on my screen, but I don’t know how to reduce the size of the pictures in the post. Just step back from your screen

Working hard to get this piece done! I’m working from the top down on the building, it’s a challenge getting the gradients consistent with the ink pen but layering a little at a time until it feels right.

This is an 8x10 (or 9x12) drawing. It’s on strathmore 500 series, bristol vellum, 100% cotton paper. The person wanted it to look like a sketch. I am more of a realistic drawing kind of person, which made it challenging to leave hatching lines visible. So this is my take on it.
