Sonia @Meme5 , he looks so contented there in your lovely drawing ! Bless him happy Puss , I hope and expect we’ll see more of him.
Some 10x10 holly berries I’m working on a few minutes here and there, with prismacolors and polychromos. Trying to be festive
Hi Sonia @Meme5
It’s no surprise, but this drawing is wonderful. I love the shine on the leaves. Thanks for sharing what you’re working on.

love that! Very festive!
I was quite happy with this watercolor - took about 1 hour. I am getting more comfortable with those pesky watercolors! I am going to challenge myself soon with something a bit more complicated
sketch from a 70s UK police TV series called The Sweeney , TV and cinematography is artful in use of perspective and other aspects of composition. I was looking at the perspective with this one. There’s been a bank job and the villains van is coming round the corner …
@junenez very nice indeed , your spoon is impressively shiny ! was it from a photo or real life ?
Trevor
Sonia @Meme5 , like the shine you’re developing on the leaves and the variation in green tones , it’s lovely
Trevor
Hi Trevor @trevowen
You are quite talented. I love this street scene. Keep on sharing.
Terri Robichon
Terri @robichon , that’s high praise ! Actually I’d credit the artist who decided on the shot rather more because the composition is great ! I like some parts of my attempt. I’m going to have to get over my use of sketchy materials , the range of value in this isn’t what I’d hoped.
Also Matt doesn’t believe in the importance of ‘talent’ lol
x Trevor
Here is the completed Santa Dan - an ink 8x10 painting on 300 lb hot press watercolor paper. I’m hoping Matt will do a critique on it next week.
Terri Robichon
@junenez watercolors are not pesky for you, you got them under control more and more!
Sonia
What are you talking about the artist who decided this and that, I see your wonderful drawing, not the tv shot. Your drawing skills are quite developed which makes you talented indeed. The way I understand it is that Matt is implying that people in general don’t have to be afraid of drawing with a frame mind of lacking talent when practice is conducive to it.

Terri @robichon , that’s a very lovely artwork , Happy Christmas x
Hey Sonia @Meme5 , thank you so much , I don’t take praise well at the best of times but it’s lovely of you to say it ! I’m not ‘talented’ though, my school art was rubbish and didn’t do any after that , but have been drawing often for 5 years with great YouTube videos to guide me , particularly VI , so I think work and perseverence are responsible for any progress and confidence in my drawing. About the image though ,the more I watch TV and film now I see compositional thought , the first time was Miss Sadie Thompson (the beautiful Rita Hayworth of course !) - I started seeing ‘rule of thirds’ everywhere , not to mention obvious colour contrast to define centre of attention (Rita’s orange dress in a sea of olive drab uniform! As if she was not already the center of attention ) . Nothing about TV/film shots is accidental , of course , their art is not talent , it’s the result of their hard work and dedication , so I remember to acknowledge whoever composed the shot. Check that movie out ! Happy Christmas x Trevor
So atmospheric. I really love this.
Hi @Bearinthegarden , I liked the TV series over 50 years ago and yes it’s very atmospheric ! Glad you liked it , Trev
Terri @robichon

Never cease to amaze me, and yes send it straight to the members minute. Can’t wait!
