I am so sorry to hear that. I have had to say goodbye to my pets over the years and it is, after losing a human family member, one of the hardest things we go through. My thoughts are with you.

Here is one of my Northern Lights photos from November 11, 2025. I live in west central Minnesota and it was my first time to see them.
Terri @robichon
Absolutely beautifully breathtaking!! Do they light up the land with a string reddish light?
Sonia
Terri, @robichon This is a fantastic phot. Will you create a painting/drawing of it? I think you could turn it into an amazing piece of artwork. Can’t wait to see your artwork tomorrow!

Thanks for the kind words. My plan is to use northern lights images for scrapbooking and professional photography entries at my local county fair in Aug 2026. So NOT for artwork for the next year.
Terri
What I saw in my yard had the ground pitch black, but those who look at them with a lake may see reflections.
Terri
Terri @robichon Beyond beautiful!!
Sonia
I thought that might be what you would do. This truly a wonderful photograph

That is unbelievable picture Terri!
I have never seen Northern Lights, must be amazing feeling. And I didn’t know they can be red color as well! Very cool, thanks for sharing with us. ![]()
Hi Lucy.
This was the first time I’ve ever seen The Northern Lights and it was two nights in a row, in my own yard out in the country with very little light pollution. I’ve learned since then that seeing red is quite rare. An experience I won’t forget.
Terri

Terri This is a great idea for getting to know each other and what’s happening where we live! Thx for adding it to our forum.
Here’s one of the lakes where I live in Lowell, OR. Dexter Lake is its name, and this is just before sunset!
I am just one mile from here and have been here for 38years in my home and before that same area but on the Fall Creek side where the river is. Was there where my youngest son of 4 children was born 41 years ago! I have the oldest a daughter and three sons and 9 Grandkids and 2 Great Grandkid! All but two live close by in the town of Springfield or up north in the town North of Salem (Keizer, OR)
I’m in the live classes or lessons as we’ve called for years before this year ‘25 :![]()

Thanks for your comments and delightful photos. I haven’t had time myself lately to stop in at the forum very often, so I’m sorry that I didn’t even see your post until now. I’ve been a member for 4 years too (as of October).

Hi Forum Friends.
Last August, I gave myself a treat for my birthday and stopped at my favorite flower garden, about an hour away from where I live. I took literally over a thousand photos and life being what it is, I didn’t even look at the photos until this last week. YIKES - that’s over 3 months.
So now with several inches of snow on the ground here in Minnesota, I’m finally enjoying the flowers. I think many will become references for my artwork. Here are some of my favorites.
If any of you want to use any as a reference photo, you have my permission. No photo credit needed.
