I think this might be a favourite thread. It’s great to see where everyone is and what we all get up to.
I live in Dublin, Ireland. I work in IT and I’ve been working from home since just before covid hit, I was actually coming off long term sick leave and working on getting back to the office when the world changed.
As I’m at the computer all day every day I’m kicking myself out of the house once a day. So my week usually goes like this Monday - Friday 5km jog by the local canal and avoid getting pecked by the swans.
Of course I had to add a European Robin for comparison.
At the moment it’s sunny and chilly. We rarely get snow but we get hurricane force storms, the most recent was Storm Eowyn towards the end of January. The debris still hasn’t been fully removed yet. Lots of trees came down.
Hi…
Here are some picture of my sorounding… I live in my (american😉) camper since February 2022 after leaving Germany…with my partner and my animals on the canarian islands.
The pictures are from the south of Fuerteventura.
So glad you shared your lifestyle and lovely photos. I like to travel but am always happy to be home. I can’t imagine myself following in your footsteps. I’d feel so insecure, and what would I do with all my stuff ?
Geeze I’m such a structured old lady. Maybe that’s why my artwork is so structured too.
@robichon Oh, yes… wie all habe so much stuff and it is really interesting to reduce it😅…
I love to live in my rolling vehicle and change place following my/our awareness…. I never felt insecure… and if… we’ll drive away🥰
Isn’t wonderful that we are all able to choose how we want to live?
This is what I do when I get 6+ inches of beautiful new sticky snow, especially when the dogs have not been out to ruin it. Note: the scarf was made by my sister Anne years ago and given to me as a Xmas gift. It has been used on many snowmen over the years.
I think I’ll call this one Matt, in honor of the Virtual Instructor. After all it does have his favorite complementary colors. And if you look closely you’ll even see a touch of purple.
@HarleysMom wow… These gentle giants💓thank you for sharing…
Yesterday saw my partner one Finn whale close to the beach with monoculars… Such a present!
From Nov 1981 through Nov 1984 I was stationed at Misawa, Japan, just below the axe handle. This California kid loved the winter snows, so peaceful. My last winter there a total of 244 inches of snow fell, 20 feet of snow.

How wonderful to see a taste of Ireland. Oh how I would like to go on a run. It has been 13 years since I have been able to run, Thank you Lyme disease complex.
Today the sun is shining and it is 82 degrees F.
the majority of the wild fires are out. We have a couple days of dry windy weather before the rain storms hit tomorrow.
I hope everyone who reads this is having a great day!
@janed thank you for asking! Everything is and was fine… we only had a few hours stronger wind with much flying sand and shaking caravan (my partner was windsurfing with a friend at the edge of the storm😅) … I think Fuerteventura is the most secure island of the Canapés, most of the winds are slowed down because of the other island around.
Hi, I’m in Perth Scotland, weather has been great for this time of the year and sun has been out all week which is unusual! Photos are not mine but are local.
This is a biggie. Myself and my husband celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary today. Yesterday we celebrated 29 years together. And on top of all that, after 6 years, the oncology unit of the hospital officially discharged me as a patient. We went to the pub for lunch today and raised a glass.
