Current status of my peacock. Everyone’s drawings are looking great.

Hi Brenda -
Thrilled to see you participating in this one. You’re off to a great start

Thanks, Terri! I’ve been quite busy, traveling a bit, and trying to get over the RSV I brought home with me! Ugh!
Brenda
Hello Sonia,
If I remember correctly you made a list of the colors that we are using for the peacock.
Would you be so kind to post it here or in the comments below the live lesson?
I really appreciate it.

Hi, Artsy! I didn’t realize you were Teri with one r, thanks for the clarification. It’s a pleasure to “meet” you. I look forward to seeing your peacock- I’m learning so much watching Matt and seeing everyone’s versions. Be well, Lisa.
Thanks, Teri. I’m enjoying this series!
We have had some wind here, but farther north in the panhandle and north Texas, they had crazy winds and blowing sand with near zero visibility. It was wretched!!! I have family in Amarillo. They were referring to this storm as a land hurricane. There was lots of damage and so many wrecks on the roadways. Thanks for asking. Sorry to hear you’re still dealing with recovery from Helene.
Brenda
Looking good June! He’s just waiting for you to carve the remainder of his beautiful self out of the paper.
So great to see both your posts, both caught up with the last lesson and looking good.

I spent several hours on this yesterday and here is what it is looking like now. Yes, I’m working way ahead of the Live Lesson, but it has just kind of sucked me in and I can’t seem to leave it alone.
Anyway, instead of colored pencils I’m using pastel (Rembrandt soft pastels because of the vibrant colors and a couple kinds of pastel pencils). This is not my favorite media, but I need the practice.
My drawing is 8x10 on dark gray Pastelmat paper (this brand doesn’t come in black).
Let me say, the body of the bird has been far more difficult for me than the head. I’ve decided to just leave it alone where it is right now and move on to the background.

Looks great, Terri. I’m about that far, also, the golden feathers are challenging! Having fun, though.
Pee Wee is looking great @HarleysMom!
I am already making a mess. Hopefully I will fix it when the third recorded class is posted. The eye is not black as it should. I’m afraid i will have to use actual black at some point. Attached is s pic of my little progress.
Sonia
Hi Sonia
You’re doing fine, but I agree that the eye needs some real black. So glad you shared.

It’s looking good Lisa. Thanks for posting your work.
