Live Class Pee Wee the Peacock Colored Pencils on Black Paper

I’m loving all these wonderful peacock artworks! I have a special fondness for peacocks and intend to draw/paint one myself eventually. Meanwhile I’ve been busy on another piece which I will post separately.

Hi Cathy @cmhales7

Can’t wait to see what you’re working on. And your peacock when you decide to do it. I’m still working on the previous live lesson.

Looks great, June! I still have to do catch-up and some homework. Don’t forget to watch a muppet movie.

Everyone’s drawings look terrific! I’ll share when I’m caught up. I’m also drawing along with the videos.

Hello James,

this looks wonderful. I really like the color choices in the feathers - makes it really pop!

I worked on PeeWee Peacock for several more hours today, mainly on the tail feathers. I’m getting close to being done with the really detailed stuff. Hoping the rest of it is a little easier.

I’ve worked on PeeWee for another day. Way ahead of Matt but I’m into it now so plan to keep going. What a difference to have more of the background done. When I have the entire background covered, I plan on going back to make adjustments. I can see now that some of it needs to be darker.

Hello Terri (with 2r’s)

Your progress is wonderful. It is inspiring to keep going forward.

I’ve started mine on a 6 x 8 format as a practice but plan on actually creating Peewee in Inks. That I will post!

My Peewee’s feathers are giving fur vibes. I hope there’s enough tooth left on the paper to make it work! I’m afraid I’ve done way too many furry dogs and cats drawings and Peewee is paying the price :worried:
Sigh!

Gorgeous work!!
I was considering using pastel pencils… but I decided I need more practice with prismacolors. I just figured out how to create user….. after nearly a year of membership and watching/listening from the balcony. I so admire your work and appreciate your kind prospective. Thank you! Hello everybody,

It happened that I finally decided to order prismacolor pencils and to my surprise I checked what is new going on here on TVI and saw there is a lesson with color pencils. Cant be better timing!
I have polychromos color pencils at home, but never tried prisma. I must say it was very nice feeling to try them. They are very soft comparing to polychromos so I am excited to work with them during this drawing.
Well, thats a little introduction.

Here is my PeeWee, joining the club of Peacocks
