Worked on my Peewee a little last night for homework, but I am waiting to see which colors Matt uses for the background.
Hi Sonia @Meme5
I’m so glad you got some drawing time in yesterday. I know it’s an important way to keep balance in your life, because “ME” time matters.

Thanks - I keep thinking peewee looks kind of ambivalent - like he’s thinking ‘How did I get here?’ Doesn’t look as fierce as the others… Just amusing myself here… Also amused as to how many colored pencils I end up trying - don’t know if I should try to force a more limited palette?
Hello Terri w2 r @robichon
It’s been a little hectic for me with daily routines a little scrambled up. Nothing new this time of the year as kids at school are all antsy with the ongoing state tests and the Summer break peeking just around the corner…..
so close, so close,
but yet so faaaaaaar ![]()
Here’s a little work based on what I was able to grasp from my late “arrival” at the live class tonight. Will wait for the recorded version to improve on it and do homework accordingly
Hi Sonia @Meme5
I know life is crazy, but you are doing so good.
Don’t know if you picked it up last night, but there is NO LIVE LESSON next week as Matt will be gone with his family for the spring break.
NEXT LIVE LESSON is on MAY 1st.

Gee, hi, and I hope that I am posting in the right place. Guys, I have time to tackle Pee-wee. I have a graphite sketch on black Artagain, but the sketch is too faint. I would like this effort to be as realistic as possible, so am thinking of re-doing as a tracing. I start by printing out the photo, correct? This would be a first for me - any suggestions of the quality of paper I should use? Would my home pinter work? Would it need to be in color?
Then apply what to the back? Any help?
Hi Margaret @4Margaret
I already responded to Margaret privately, but will repeat my answer here for others that may be interested. For drawings on black (or very dark) papers, I have been using Saral (wax free) transfer paper. It comes in WHITE, black, and a few colors. I of course ended up buying all of them. This product is a game changer for me.
Yes, I print the reference photo, tape the top side of the reference to the drawing paper. Insert the transfer paper between the reference photo and the drawing paper and trace away.
Regarding paper, any pastel paper works well. I used dark gray PastelMat for my drawing of PeeWee (because PastelMat does not come in black).
Have fun with the lesson Margaret and then post your work for us to see. I really liked doing it.

Hi Sonia @Meme5
You’ve covered a lot of ground and Peewee is looking so good.
Terri
Hello everyone,
i am going to repost my beginnings to Pee Wee as it seems to be lost in the chat.

Hi Teri w1r @TLP
I just wanted to let you know your previous post of this drawing is still here. I remembered seeing it, so I scrolled back. It was posted 10 days ago.

Hello Terri (with 2r’s)
Thank you! I still lack so much in computer abilities!!
Teri (with 1r)
I’m not caught up, but I’m still working! After moving to Thursday, I won’t be able to be “live” until after the 8th of May. But I’m enjoying working on the peacock. Here’s my current status.
Everybody’s drawings are looking great!
Brenda
Thanks, Sonia! I’m really enjoying the process!

Brenda,
Looking great. I shall post my progress. Missing you at live lessons!
