That’s gorgeous. Landscapes are difficult for me, and I’m impressed!
Thank you for that encouragement! It sure is fun to do a playful picture now and then😁
@alongsidemom it is gorgous! Dinosaus have to be a bit messy! Really cool one👍
Very good landscape Drawing! So glad to see your very first post here. I hope to see more of your artwork soon!
Sonia
@sterlingsiam Yes, Patricia, I really did like this textured paper. I’m looking forward to using it again. Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate it!
Lisa.
This is amazing Elina, great details and great values.
I am currently practicing layering with watercolour. I am growing more confident, but I still think they are so difficult to control.
Thank you for your comment🙏
I love your watercolortrainings😍
Welcome Noah!
This is a very nice piece! Good job! I hope to see more art from you on this forum ![]()
Hi @siffermus
Practicing with layers is the best way to get comfortable with watercolors and you’re doing great. I’m so glad you’re sharing your journey to learn with all of us. You’re an inspiration.
Terri
Wow - this is amazing! Those coloumns are really well done. Fantastic attention to details here. Really great job.
Hi @DaveK
This drawing is remarkable. Are you going to do the current live lesson of architecture with an ink pen? I’d love to see your version of that.
Terri
I just watched the live lesson you referenced. I loved his initial sketch and if I had done that it would be in a frame
! I feel like I am going to have to do it though… It looks pretty daunting, but wow, a great challenge piece!
This picture took many hours to complete, so I can’t imagine what it’s going to take to do the church with trees!! Off to the store to buy more supplies ![]()
Hi @DaveK
I’m so glad you’re planning to do the live lesson with the rest of us. There is a FORUM topic called “Live Lesson - Pen & Ink Architecture” set up for those of us who are doing this live lesson. I’ve already added several posts myself because I am comfortable with the Zebra - Rubber 80 pens and have been working ahead of Matt’s lessons. Take a peek of how my drawing is looking so far. I know you can do this too, but it does take a LOT of patience.
Terri
Hello all,
I bought an ink and dip pen yesterday, so today I dipped it
. I did a little drawing in my sketchbook to get to know the tools. My sketchbook is watercolor cold pressed, and I heard the best would be to use hot pressed with dip pen - well, I can confirm that! It was a bit jumpy because of the tooth of the paper, but a very interesting experience, very different from fine liners!
Here is my sketch of a little pirate Luffy, from the comic book One Piece:
Those look really good
Hi, my most recent effort, a watercolour A3 on Da Capo Water Colour paper (not great quality, but can take a beating, so to speak), Rough, 300gsm. Experimenting on rough paper with a limited palette. Inspired by the kitchen window view. The colours haven’t come out that well in the photo; they look better with the naked eye.
Your watercolors are so lovely! You should be very happy about them . They sure made me smile. Your control is very good by the way ![]()
