That’s good. I like how shiny the badge on his jacket looks.

Hi James @1kidneyJD

It’s amazing how subtle little things can improve a drawing. Looks great!

Thank you Lucas @MTBartist. After 3 years of Matt and Ashley’s teaching and Terri’s @robichon critiques, the drawings are starting to come together. A ways to go but this is the fun of the process.

@melissa My Harley just died and I was scrolling and saw this. I’m sorry for your loss, and what a lovely tribute.

I love this one. Wonderful colours. I lost my 14 year old cat back in august, and I fell you. I hope to draw her some day, but for now it is still too painful.

It’s tough isn’t it? It took me years before I could draw the black lab who passed before Harley and I still teared up when I did her eyes. Give yourself time. Eventually you can look at the photos and some time after that might be able to think about drawing your kitty. I hope you have a beautiful Sunday.

Another experiment. Anyone want to guess the media used here?

My guess is oil pastels. Am I right?

Good guess since oil pastel is my favorite medium! This is pan pastel, stick pastel and gouache. I thought, no way could pastel and gouache go together, so that’s exactly what I put together.

Hi @chellesky

Just a suggestion, as you are still getting use to the forum. If when you are replying to a specific person, I suggest you use the “reply” button at the bottom right corner of the photo/comment that you are responding about. That will link your comment to that photo. That’s really helpful in particular for “Most Recent Drawing or Painting” because so many people post here and your comment may not be immediately after what your comment is in reference to.

Also see how I addressed this to you. That also helps to make sure the person sees your comment.

Hope this makes sense and is helpful. I love seeing all your participation here on the forum and how well you are doing with your classes here.
