A vodka tonic is my drink of choice and no diet tonic water for me. Jim always makes me one and puts it in the freezer for a while because I love it on the slushy side. I’m upstairs by 4:30, grab my drink from the freezer, and we watch Jeopardy together. Our daily ritual. Oh, and I almost forgot the part about the 3 dog treats each for Sammy and Duke. I keep the pouch of treats on the end table and the dogs stare at it until they get what they want. Then they’re happy to lay down again.
I love being retired and the life that has evolved as we continue to grow old together.

Well, I have been very buissy harvesting my many, many berries - strawberries, raspberries, red currents, black current, green and red gooseberries, rhubarbs ect. And I have made tons of limonade and jams. I think I should be good till next summer! I found the smallest snail I have ever seen among the black currents. I think it’s so cute. Also I had to hold a little funeral because my oldest chicken, Fiona, got sick and died.

Your photos are a joy to see. That tiny snail really caught my eye. I’m amazed you even discovered it. Enjoy all that good eating. Tomatoes and green peppers are the only things I’m growing this year. Can’t wait til I can make my BLT’s. They are the only reason we have a garden.

The beach looks rocky, is it from up north? I only have been to beaches in NC and Sc.

These beaches are from Fuerteventura Canary Islands and they are rocky and have much sand where it has to be for a beautiful beach😁

I bring my entries to the local county fair tomorrow morning, August 5th. The fair runs from August 6th through August 9th, 2025. I did as many as I could get done for 3 categories. (I didn’t do one of the Professional Photography entries, and I didn’t do two from Fine Arts category.) TOTAL ENTRIES from me this year is 77. All completed since the last fair.
What I did finish was: 40 for Fine Arts / 23 for Professional Photography / 14 for Scrapbooking.
Here they are packed in boxes, and a photo recap of just the Fine Arts entries.

Hi Guys, I’m thinking of summiting a piece of artwork, which will be used as the design for a T-shirt. This T-shirt is for Canine Companions (a non profit organization who raises puppies to become official service dogs), they are celebrating their 50th anniversary. I’m trying to come up with some ideas, I wandering if Y’all had some ideas, Thanks.
