… I already knew them because I bought a set of 12 before to test them.( Maybe you remember my butterfly picture on dark brown watercolorpaper… it is drawn with them) I did this with some kinds oft colored pencils… I did not know any when I started and still do not no Matt´s favorite colored Pencils Prismacolor.

Nice! I have that Derwent eraser too - It’s a really good one. I understand that not all electric erasers have an on/off button, making them difficult to use. I know several people whoi bought this one in stead when they found out that it has an on/off button.

I haven’t been posting artwork or even responding as often as usual to other members’ posts. Let me share what is going on in my life.
For several years I have been the Legal Guardian for my sister Anne. Some challenges in her life have included Down Syndrome, Early Onset Alzheimer’s, and Epilepsy.
After receiving hospice care for 3 months Anne passed away on August 30th. Other than my husband who has always been at my side, Anne has been the single most important person in my life. She has been living in a group home by me so that I could be with her often. My other sister is Monica, and she has been making the 2hour drive on a regular basis to also spend time with Anne. The funeral will be held next week on September 18th.
I just want to let everyone here know how many really strong friendships have been formed on the forum. Our connections start with the art but frequently grow too much further depths, more than one would ever expect.
Today I received this beautiful plant and a note from some forum friends from “around the world”. I’m so fortunate to have all of you supporting me. My heart is overflowing with love and gratitude. By the way Maki, Louie and Missy (my feline friends) insisted on being included in this photo.

All entities are special and the one with down syndroms have this really special sparkle…

I am so happy for you that beyond these emotional times, you were able to feel love and being loved.
Did you notice the resemblance between the three of you? Especially you and dear Anne? Through her loving sisters, you taking care as her legal guardian, Anne’s life was so much better.
I am sending you piece and friendship for the funeral. It’s going to be one of the tougher days. Take your time.

I am glad that Buddy told me you posted here. I don’t usually come to this thread because it is so fast and as you well know I get overwhelmed.
You know that we are here for you. We will be with you on the 18th as support, even if it is from our place in this world. Please also tell Jim and Monica that they are in our thoughts too.

Thanks friends for all the kind words of support. The funeral for my sister was beautiful and has brought me peace and comfort. I’m doing well and should be back to creating art in the next week or so. Just a few more things that I need to take care of first.

… Not a human family… my heart family… my dog Charly past away on Sunday morning after 15 years (27.9.2010 was our first day together).
