I agree. It’s really hard to prioritize the hobby of art with a busy household and hardly time to sit down, but having the deadline helped me to set aside other things to focus on it. My husband and children were so supportive, and whatever the judges decide, I just feel so accomplished having entered. I turn 40 next week, and I haven’t entered an art contest since high school. It meant more to me than I realized.

I know only White birch, so I was thinking it’s a birch. I googled White aspens, could be as well that. They look very similar but (according to google) they have different leaves. 
Who knows, I believe there are so many kinds of trees in the world we would have to be experts to know

Hi Forum Friends
This is an 8x10 acrylic painting on Strathmore - Mixed Media Board. I used my own reference photo. Did the background first, applying it with a pallet knife (new technique for me). Then I added the darker blue top using Liquitex - acrylic glazing medium (also a first for me). The colors on this just make me happy.
