Beautiful. Well done.
Hi Sonia @Meme5
I think I forgot to say this before, but you MUST send beautiful lion this to Matt for the Members Minute.

Please feel free to criticise… I got a bit stressed in the end😅… and decided to call it finished…
Ooooh! Nice! The fur looks so touchable.
My favorite thing about art is playing with color…so I decided to go out on a limb…several limbs, really, and do something without color. This is a redo of a piece I did earlier with color, only this time I only used a Cross nib pen and water on Fabriano mixed media paper. What do y’all think?
What an amazing lion. They are SOOO difficult to draw/paint! This is really great!
It’s wonderful. I love the foliage under the tree.
@siffermus very realistic drawings👍🏻Cool studies!
Thank you for your encouraging words. I really enjoy working with soft pastels.

You are very ready for a full blown furry animal drawing!! Those studies are better than very good!!

@Bearinthegarden I like it. It almost looks like a see through frosted glass etching

Hi Twilah @Bearinthegarden
This has the feeling of a scratchboard drawing, and I like scratchboard. Actually doing any media in black and white is perfect for getting a better understanding of value and the importance of having a good range of values.
Very nice.

A message to all the artists here on the forum - - - Sonia’s lion is the subject of Matt’s critique this week on the members minute. Be sure to pop over there and hear all the wonderful things he has to say about this MASTERPIECE. Sonia, you really are a pro with those pastels.

Terri w2r @robichon,
Your encouragement has been always most appreciated and helpful. You are a creator of masterpieces, so your kind words mean so much. I watched the critique by Matt which is always an honor to have my own work chosen for it. I realize there is always room for improvement, however, I can see the progress (specifically with pastels) I made since joining TVI.
Also thank you for being such good friend to me!
