Hi Troy, thank you so much for your kind words🐈
Yes they are, and I guess I still have not shared this one here.
This is the most recent ballpoint pen drawing that I prepared specifically for my mini show in LA.

PS I’ve been working on practicing by drawing my apple from your book! My apple is turning out ok-ish but love the pen technique  I have long ways to go…

Hello Terri, thank you so much for your kind words! :smirk_cat:

Hi Sonia, thank you so much for your kind words and sharing your work-in-progress apple.
You are absolutely on the right track.
I can see that you are now around 0:23 of this video.

Make it darker, darker, and darker, VERY CAREFULLY so that you select the right places to make darker.
Look forward to seeing the completed work! :+1:

Sketching some trees. I think the chestnut (the bottom one) is the best tree I’ve ever drawn so far.

Hi @siffermus

I struggle with trees. It would probably be helpful if I did this kind of drawing exercise too.

Today I sketched this Leopard eye in my small SketchBook with Faber Castel BlackEdition.
Interesting experience…I realise more and more what the difference between different type of coloured pencils is…

And I am looking forward to draw fur more and more realistic with colored pencils ( there is much training necessary) …maybe I should bye an electric eraser🤔

Hi Elina.

Oh, you definitely should get an electric eraser. And that eye is great.

Hello @siffermus

Those are some good looking trees, the bigger one is my favorite too!
Have you seen the landscape in graphite class? I think you would find it satisfying to complete since it has a larde tree in the foreground.
Here’s the link if you’d like to consider it

Hi Sonia,

Thank you for the recommendation. I am currently working from a different video with Matt drawing realistic trees on a beginner level. I don’t feel ready to take on the intermediate level landscape drawings just yet. I’ve been sketching trees for a couple of weeks now, and the chestnut tree I drew yesterday is the first one I’ve done that actually looks like a tree.

Hi Elina,

Gorgeous leopard eye. I drew it too, but on drafting film using Faber Castell polychromos and I used the knife technique alot for effects.

Hi @siffermus

This eye and the surrounding fur are so very well done. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

@siffermus this picture looks like a big upgrade of my sketch😍… I think about doing this again with policromos instead of black edition and give the fur a second try… yes,the scratching technique creates nice fur optic ( just used it once)… thank you for sharing and reminding!
